Interior Design Associate
Job Description – Interior Design Associate
Summary
HYJK Design is a design studio specialising in transforming environments, with focus on premium residential properties, forward-looking commercial spaces and we take a keen interest in space optimisation. We take pride in our work and endeavour to provide reliable and trustworthy service with good design in mind. There is an opportunity to join our small, dedicated team as an Interior Design Associate, starting with a one month internship as a trial period with the opportunity to convert to permanent staff following that.
The ideal candidate is positive, resourceful and responsible, and has strong capabilities in 3D visualisation, drafting, construction detailing and space planning. We are looking for candidates truly passionate about design and fit in with our culture – see our manifesto:

Key Responsibilities
- Acquisition Process & Programme Plan – Keep detailed records of project scope and client needs, prepare design brief for client presentations, generate specification documents for partners to determine pricing, prepare cost estimates and agreements for client on boarding.
- Design Excellence – Design and draft detailed and accurate plans and briefs in a timely manner that is specially catered to the client and the project in concern, including layout plans, elevation plans, furnishing plans and material selection.
- Design Implementation – Efficiently manage projects which includes communication and coordination with partners and clients, site visits, home staging of furnishing and accessories, and preparation for handover.
- Knowledge – be the visualization expert and keep abreast of innovation in design, especially space optimisation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Interior Design training (3D visualisation, drafting, construction detailing and space planning; AutoCAD or AI, 3ds Max or SketchUp, and render in V-Ray)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English)
- Proven abilities in planning and organisation tasks
- Singaporean, PR, Malaysian or NAS only
